Drone Photography

Drone photography has opened a whole new world of options for capturing sky to ground images that was one only accomplishable from a helicopter or other aircraft. Now, aerial photography and video has become much more environmentally friendly and of higher quality thanks to drones.

A drone is an aircraft that is unpiloted, instead the drone photographer uses a remote control to fly the drone. Here at Pegasus Drone, our licensed drone photographers use the Inspire 2 drone by DJI with an X5S lens. This drone is considered the gold standard for next-level drone photography and filmmaking. The drone photographer has their own screen that they can follow along to what the drone is seeing, so that they can capture the best footage and photographs.

The Process

Creating A Pre Flight Plan
We begin every project with an in-depth planning session with the client. We will discuss the intended results, the purpose of the shoot, and what exactly needs to be captured.

Storyboard Creation
When we have finished creating our pre-flight plan, it is time to draw up a storyboard. This will show you how all the footage we gain will be put together, and show a preview of the end result.

The Shoot
Of course, the next step is to do the shoot. A drone photographer will come out to the location and work their magic, getting you amazing photos.

Post Production
Post production editing of drone photography can vary from basic colour correcting to creating a full video that has titles and soundtracks. Post production is totally optional, the client can also receive the raw footage if they would rather that.
